We are pleased to present a new collection of Barry's ceramics.
Barry completed his degree in ceramics at the University of Westminster in 2009, and worked for a while in the studio of Edmund de Waal. These days he lives and works in rural Bedfordshire, where nature, the weather and the river just outside his studio provide constant inspiration.
Starting with thrown forms or slab made constructions, he deforms and scores his work. These tactile, sinuous forms are instantly appealing, and dynamic. Vibrant colours applied with a painter's eye, evoke nature and landscape. He creates harmony or jarring dissonance, depending on his mood. Bright shiny glazes reflect the light and bring the surfaces to liquid life.
Barry has exhibited his work widely in the UK and Internationally.
