Anna Noel

"From early childhood animals have fascinated me and their imagery has fuelled my imagination. Animals used in stories, myths and folklore often expresses and symbolizes the complexities of childhood and the adult world.

"I am interested in the special relationship we have with animals and the way the animal form can express emotions and the spiritual, humours, curious or joyous way of viewing the world.
Because of my fascination of storytelling imagery, I like sometimes to include text of poems, riddles and rhymes. Most of my inspiration comes from the simplicity of form of ancient sculptures and folk art from a variety of cultures."
